Weft stop motion: These motions stop the loom immediately in the event of weft breakage or weft running out.

There are 2 types of weft stop motions.

• Side weft fork motion

• Centre weft fork motion

Warp stop motion: These motions stop the loom immediately in the event of warp breakage.

There are 3 types of warp stop motion.

• Mechanical

• Electrical

• Electro mechanical

Warp protector motion: These motions protect the warp in the event of shuttle trap which may be due to over picking. The mechanism will prevent mass breakage.

There are 2 types of warp protector motion.

• Loose reed motion

• Fast reed motion
